Magistrate Khariar 1941/1942; a known literary figure of Orissa and has authored 14 books on poetry and Oriya Literature including Arati, Urmi, Latika, Murchhana, Hillola Bireaha, Baridhi, Chayantika, Tripatri, Paritosh, Spandana, Rasa Majusha, Samcuhaya, and others; honoured with the title of Kavi Saurabh, by the Sahitya Kala Akademi of Orissa; interests were Hunting, Music and Politics, Reading and Writing; he married Shrimati Rani Soubhagya Manjari Devi, daughter of HH Maharaja Brij Mohan Deb of Kalahandi, and his wife, HH Maharani Suratarangini Devi, and had issue, three sons and five daughters.
