History

A Zamindari held by a family belonging to Yaduvanshi Jadon clan of Rajputs. It was founded by Thakur Lodhi Pal ji, who named it Lodha, after himself. The family left Jhusi (Prathisthanpur), the ancient capital of Chandravanshi rulers, and settled in Bayana, where they are credited to have built a fort. After Bayana, they settled in Timangarh. Due to Muslim Invasions from the north, and attacks on the fort, the family scattered from both their strongholds. One branch of the family, moved to the district of Aligarh, where they eventually founded & settled in the village of Lodha in 1708 AD.
