History
The Village Mauhari was given to the Lal Gopal Singh Ji the 4th son of Jarauha zamindar saheb, As per some stories from ancestors, The Maharaja of Rewa Sir Venkat Raman Ramanuj Pratap Singh Ju Deo Bahadur saheb had given a challenge that whoever will shot a man-eater (aadamkhor) tiger would be given the Jagir of Mauhari. Lal Gopal Singh Ji accepted the challenge and sent his only son Roshan Singh. Roshan singh shot the tiger in one shot, he was then awarded the jagir of Mauhari and publicly honored with the title of Thakur Saheb.
