Loha

Rulers of Loha are descendants of Rao Sura, grandson of Rao Bida of Bidasar. The Chief is the premiere noble of Bikaner State and enjoys Dohri Tazim and Kurab Hath in Bikaner Darbar. The estate was granted to Thakur Saheb Lakhan Singhji, son of Thakur Khangar Singhji of Sawantiya by Maharaja Karan Singhji of Bikaner in 1632 AD, for his display of indomitable valor and bravery in bringing back the Gangaur of Bikaner state, which was captured and taken away by Thakur Mehajal of Sirada at the behest of Maharawal of Jaisalmer, the bold pursuit in hinterland ensued with a bloody battle near Jaisalmer and eventually led to death of Thakur Mehajal. The estate consisted of 12 villages.
