HH Raja VIJAYENDRA SINGH, present Raja Sahib of Nalagarh since 5th May 1971. (Raj Mahal, Nalagarh - 174101, Himachal Pradesh, India), born in Dehra Dun, Uttar Pradesh (now Uttaranchal), succeded to the throne on 5th May 1971, educated at the Woodstock School in Mussoorie, Uttaranchal and later at the Yadavendra Public School (Y.P.S.) in Patiala, Punjab. He finished his schooling from the Doon School at Dehra Dun, Uttaranchal in 1962 and then graduated from Hindu College, Delhi University, in 1966. Member of the Legislative Assembly in the State of Himachal Pradesh 1977/1999, Chief Parliamentary Secretary 1982/1983, Minister of State 1984/1985 and 1988/1989, married 7th April 1968 in Chandigarh, U.T., Raymon Singh [Rani Sukriti Kumari], born in Delhi, educated at Welham Girls' High School in Dehra Dun, Uttaranchal, and graduated from Government Girls' College, Chandigarh, daughter of Sardar Jaspal Singh of Jandiala Guru in Amritsar District, Punjab, and of Sardarni Mohinder Kaur, daughter of the late Sir and Lady Sobha Singh of New Delhi and Hadali, and has issue, one son and one daughter.
  • Tikka Jayatendra Singh, born at New Delhi, educated at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, District Solan, H.P. and later at the Doon School, Dehra Dun, Uttaranchal, and passed out from Bishop Cotton School, Simla, H.P., graduated from the Wesleyan College in North Carolina, U.S.A., managing The Fort, Nalagarh, as a heritage hotel since 1996, married 16th June 1992 at New Delhi, Miss Poonam Rathi, and has issue, a daughter.
