History
Kuradiya Medi is a historic estate belonging to the Shaktawat sub-clan of the Sisodia dynasty of Udaipur (Mewar). As descendants of Maharaj Shakti Singh—the valiant brother of Maharana Pratap—the Shaktawats of this region historically held a prestigious position within the Mewar court, actively participating in the state's defense against external invasions during the Mughal and Maratha eras. Following India's independence and the subsequent abolition of the Jagirdari system, the Thikana's administrative authority was integrated into the state of Rajasthan, though the family continues to uphold their ancestral traditions and cultural heritage in the modern era.
