History

Jajli is a larger estate belonging to the Sisodia clan, and is situated on the banks of River Shivna, 18 kilometres South-East of Pratapgarh (District Headquarter) and 7 kilometres from Arnod. The founder of the estate was Thakur Pur Singh, a younger son of Thakur Gopal Das, the 3rd Thakur Saheb of Dhamotar, himself a grandson of Thakur Sahasmal, a grandson of Rawat Khemkaran, the founder of Pratapgarh.
