Present Head
Thakur Sher Singh Ji Bhati, present Thakur Saheb of Beru.
History
The Thikana of Beru, situated in the erstwhile princely state of Marwar (Jodhpur), is a prominent estate held by the Jaisa Bhati clan of Rajputs, who trace their illustrious lineage back to the founding rulers of Jaisalmer. The Jaisa Bhatis are direct descendants of Rawal Jaisal, the 12th-century monarch who established the desert kingdom of Jaisalmer, and they later migrated and carved out estates in the Marwar region. As feudal nobles under the Rathore rulers of Jodhpur, the Thakurs of Beru played a significant role in the military campaigns and administrative affairs of the region, safeguarding their territory through centuries of geopolitical transitions.
