History
Pachlana Thikana, situated in the historic Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh, was a prominent estate ruled by the Fatehsingot Rathores, an illustrious offshoot of the Rathore dynasty. The lineage of this thikana is traced back to Maharaj Fateh Singh, a descendant of the royal house of Ratlam State, which was established by the legendary Rajput warrior Raja Ratan Singh Rathore. Carved out during the geopolitical transitions of the 17th and 18th centuries in Central India, Pachlana functioned as a crucial fiefdom, defending its territories and maintaining local administrative autonomy. Throughout the Mughal, Maratha, and British periods, the thikana upheld its martial traditions and socio-cultural influence in the region until its integration into the Union of India post-independence.
