Antarveliya

The estate of Antarveliya (also historically spelled as Antarvelia) was a prominent Thikana (fiefdom) located in the Malwa region, historically constituent to the princely state of Jhabua State in present-day Madhya Pradesh, India. The rulers of this estate belonged to the Suryavanshi Rathore clan of Rajputs, tracing their ancestry back to the illustrious royal house of Marwar (Jodhpur).

The foundation of the estate is deeply intertwined with the establishment of Jhabua State by Rao Keshav Das (a descendant of Rao Jodha of Marwar) in 1584. To maintain administrative efficiency and secure military alliances, the ruling family of Jhabua granted various estates or Thikanas to the younger princes of the bloodline. Antarveliya was one such estate, granted as a giras (maintenance jagir) to the descendants of the ruling family, who took on the title of Thakur and served as noble vassals (Umraos) to the Jhabua Darbar.
