Unchaira

Unchaira Thikana, an estate of the Tanwar (Tomar) Rajput clan, originated from Kelawa Kalan, a prominent historical seat of the Tanwars in the Marwar region. The rulers of this house trace their patrilineal descent back to the historic Tomar Dynasty of Delhi, specifically from the lineage of Emperor Anangpal Tomar. Following the dispersal of the Tomars from Delhi and their subsequent migrations through Gwalior and Rajputana, a branch settled in the Marwar (Jodhpur) territory, where they established Kelawa Kalan. Over generations, as the clan expanded, offshoots from the parent house of Kelawa Kalan established independent estates, leading to the foundation of Unchaira Thikana, which continued to serve the Jodhpur State with military distinction and held a respected position within the Marwar feudal hierarchy.
