Ramgarh Pachwara

Ramgarh Pachwara, situated in the Dausa district of Rajasthan, was a prominent feudal estate (Thikana) ruled by the Suryavanshi Kachwaha Rajputs, specifically belonging to the esteemed Nathawat sub-clan. Serving as a crucial administrative and military outpost under the princely state of Jaipur, the Thikana was part of the historical Pachwara region, a collective of five prominent estates known for their strategic significance. Over the centuries, the rulers of Ramgarh Pachwara maintained a steadfast allegiance to the Jaipur Durbar, contributing significantly to its defense and regional governance during both the Mughal era and the British Raj. Following India's independence and the subsequent abolition of the feudal jagirdari system, the estate was integrated into the modern state of Rajasthan, leaving behind a rich legacy preserved in its historic fort and local folklore, which remains a subject of study in the broader history of the Kachwaha dynasty.
