History

Origin and Establishment of Rajasar Thikana

Rajasar Thikana, situated in the historic desert region of Bikaner, serves as the ancestral seat of the Anandsinghot Rajvi (Haveli wale) branch of the Rathore dynasty. This lineage descends from Maharaj Anand Singh, a prominent son of Maharaja Anup Singh of Bikaner. The estate achieved heightened prominence under Rajvi Rao Bahadur Gulab Singhji, the son of Rajvi Guman Singhji of Bogera. For his exemplary conduct and distinguished administrative services rendered to the state, he was formally conferred with the prestigious Single Tazim (a high-ranking honor of courtly reception and recognition) and the Jagir of Rajasar by the visionary reformer Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner.

Modern Era and Post-Independence Transition

Throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the administration of Rajasar remained closely aligned with the progressive modernization policies initiated by the Bikaner state court. Following India's independence in 1947 and the subsequent integration of the Bikaner princely state into the Union of India in 1949, the estate transitioned from a feudal jagir into a modern administrative unit of Rajasthan, as detailed in historic state records available through the Encyclopædia Britannica. Today, the descendants of this noble house preserve their rich cultural heritage and ancestral legacy while contributing actively to the region's socio-economic development.
