History
Radawas Thikana is a historic estate belonging to the Sindhal clan of the Rathore dynasty in Rajasthan. The Sindhal Rathores trace their ancestry to Rao Sindhal (also known as Rao Sindo), a distinguished warrior and son of Rao Asthan, the second ruler of the Rathore dynasty of Marwar. The estate of Radawas was granted to Thakur Saheb Devi Singh Ji, who was the son of Thakur Balwant Singh Ji of the prominent Sindhal Rathore estate of Jakhoda. The rulers of Radawas maintained strong martial traditions and administrative ties within the regional feudal structure of Marwar, upholding their heritage until the abolition of the jagirdari system following the independence of India.
