History
Pindarda, situated in the historic Baghelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh, was a prominent taluqa (feudal estate) held by the Baghela clan of Rajputs, who trace their ancestry to the Solanki dynasty of Gujarat. Operating as a cadet branch under the suzerainty of the princely state of Rewah, the rulers of Pindarda exercised local administrative and judicial authority over their estate, contributing significantly to the regional stability of the Baghela dynasty. Throughout the Mughal era and subsequent British alliance period established by the treaty of 1812, Pindarda maintained its socio-political influence until its formal integration into the Union of India post-1947. Detailed accounts of the geopolitical environment of the region can be found in the historical archives of the Rewa State and the legacy of the Baghela Dynasty.
