Murlipura

Established as a prominent fiefdom under the Jaipur State, the Murlipura Jagir represents a significant branch of the Khangarot sub-clan of the Kachwaha Rajputs, tracing its lineage directly back to Rao Khangar, the founder of the clan and son of Rao Jagmal Ji of Amber. As an off-shoot of the historic Jobner Thikana, Murlipura maintained close political and familial ties with its parent estate, contributing actively to the military campaigns and court administration of the Jaipur rulers during both the Mughal and British eras. The jagirdars of Murlipura were recognized for their feudal loyalty and local governance, preserving their cultural heritage and agrarian influence until the integration of princely states into democratic India post-independence, which led to the formal abolition of the jagirdari system in Rajasthan.
