Mukangarh

Mukangarh Thikana, belonging to the illustrious Tanwar clan of Rajputs, originated from the historic estate of Kelawa Kalan. Tracing their noble lineage back to the sovereign Tomar dynasty of Delhi, the Tanwar rulers of this line established themselves as a formidable feudal power in Rajasthan. Over the centuries, they successfully defended their territories through strategic alliances, maintained administrative autonomy, and contributed significantly to the socio-cultural fabric of the region, preserving their rich martial heritage through the Mughal and British eras until the post-independence integration of princely states into the Indian Union.
