History
Kivarli, situated near the strategic Abu Road region in modern-day Rajasthan, was a prominent Thikana (fiefdom) ruled by the Deora clan of Chauhan Rajputs under the vassalage of the princely state of Sirohi. Established by the descendants of the ruling family of Sirohi, the thikana played a vital role in safeguarding the southern frontiers of the kingdom, maintaining order, and providing military service to the Maharaos of Sirohi during the Mughal and British eras until its integration into the Union of India in 1948. More about the historical and geographical context of this region can be found on the official Sirohi District Portal.
