History
Established as a prominent fief of the Haridasot Bhati clan under the princely state of Marwar, the Thikana of Khudiyala was granted to Thakur Maha Singh Ji Bhati, the great-grandson of the illustrious Thakur Hardas Ji Bhati of Thikana Balarwa, by Maharaja Ajit Singh of Jodhpur. This strategic estate was bestowed alongside the prestigious honor of Ikevadi Tazim (single Tazim) in recognition of the clan's martial prowess and unwavering loyalty to the Rathore dynasty during the protracted Mughal-Marwar wars of the late 17th and early 18th centuries. As elite nobles of the Jodhpur state, the Thakurs of Khudiyala played an active role in the military and socio-political affairs of the region, safeguarding their ancestral heritage through the British Raj and successfully transitioning into the post-independence era while preserving their rich historical and cultural legacy.
