History
Estate of Kaneri was granted to Shreeman Maharaj Ramchandra Singh Sahib of Kaneri by his father His Highness Raj Rajeshwar Rashtravar-Kulabhushana Shreeman Raja Sir Jaswant Singh Sahib of Sailana. Kaneri was one among the first-class jagirs of Sailana (as of 1908) whose estate holders were permitted to bear gold anklets.

- Shreeman Maharaj Sahib Ramchandra Singh Ji, he was granted the estate of Kaneri/Barmawal (now Birmawal) in 1907 by his father Maharaj Sahib Jashwant Singh Ji II of Sailana state and succeeded as the Maharaj Sahib of Kaneri/Birmawal; educated at Mayo College at Ajmer (Captain 1919/20), graduated with an M.D.H Degree in Homeopathic Medicine. Page-of-Honor to the Queen-Empress Mary at the Delhi Durbar of 1911. Adopted by the widow of Thakur Moti Singh of Barmawal; married 1stly to a daughter of Maharaj Sahib Dhonkal Singh Ji of Baidia in Gwalior State, married 2ndly to a daughter of the Maharaj Sahib of Tejpur in Pratapgarh State and had issue.
