Kamla Amba

Kamla Amba is a prominent feudal estate (Thikana) belonging to the Chundawat clan of the illustrious Sisodia dynasty, situated historically in the Dungarpur region of Rajasthan. The ruling family of Kamla Amba traces its immediate ancestral origin to the estate of Solaj, linking their lineage directly to Rawat Chunda, the legendary prince of Udaipur (Mewar) who famously renounced his throne in the 15^th century. As elite nobles of the region, the Thakurs of Kamla Amba played a significant role in the military and administrative affairs of the Dungarpur State, maintaining their distinct identity and heritage through centuries of political transitions, including the Mughal and British periods, before the Thikana was integrated into the democratic state of Rajasthan post-independence.
