Ghadiyala

The Ghadiyala Thikana, a premier estate of the Rawlot Bhati clan of Rajputs, traces its historical roots back to the royal house of Derawar (located in present-day Punjab, Pakistan). Following the treacherous assassination of Rawal Raghunath Singhji of Derawar by Pathan usurpers, his minor son, Rajkumar Zalim Singhji, fled the territory and sought refuge in the neighbouring princely state of Bikaner. Recognizing his noble lineage and military prowess, Maharaja Gaj Singhji of Bikaner inducted the young prince into his court, subsequently granting him the estate of Ghadiyala in 1754 AD, along with the coveted courtly honors of Dohri Tazim (double obeisance) and Kurab Hath. As one of the most distinguished nobles of Bikaner, the rulers of this twelve-village estate enjoyed a unique status as Parsangi (close relatives by marriage) due to their influential matrimonial alliances with the ruling Rathore dynasty of Bikaner.
