History

History of Dhirasar Thikana

Dhirasar was a notable Thikana (feudal estate) of the Hada Chauhan clan of Rajputs, situated within the erstwhile princely state of Bikaner in Rajasthan. The Hada Chauhans, historically hailing from the Hadaoti region, carved out their influence in northern Rajasthan through administrative capability and martial service to the Rathore rulers. The high social and political status of Dhirasar within the court of Bikaner was formally recognized when the prestigious honor of Tazim—a ceremonial reception where the ruling Maharaja would stand to welcome the noble—was conferred upon Thakur Saheb Nathu Singhji by the Ruler of Bikaner State. Under the traditional feudal system of the state, the Thikana was required to render service to the state by providing a Chakari Asvar (one mounted cavalryman) to the Bikaner State forces.

Post-Independence Era

With the integration of princely states into the Indian Union after 1947, the feudal privileges and the jagirdari system of Bikaner State were formally abolished under the Rajasthan Land Reforms and Resumption of Jagirs Act, 1952. The descendants of the Dhirasar Thikana transitioned into the democratic era, continuing to preserve their ancestral heritage, historical records, and the cultural legacy of the Hada Chauhan dynasty in Rajasthan.
