History
Birloka Thikana, situated in the present-day Nagaur district of Rajasthan, was an important feudatory estate held by the Rawlot Bhati clan, a distinguished branch of the Chandravanshi Bhati Rajputs who share ancestral ties with the royal house of Jaisalmer. Granted as a jagir under the suzerainty of the Rathore rulers of the princely Jodhpur State (Marwar), the Thikana of Birloka served as a crucial strategic outpost on the geopolitical frontiers of Marwar. The noble rulers of Birloka, holding the hereditary title of Rawlot, contributed significantly to the military campaigns of the Jodhpur State and maintained administrative and agrarian authority over their fiefdom until the post-independence integration of Rajasthan and the abolition of the Jagirdari system in the mid-20th century.
