Raidhana

Raidhana Thikana, situated in the Ladnun tehsil of Nagaur district, Rajasthan, is an ancestral estate held by the Jodha clan of the Rathore dynasty, who trace their lineage back to Rao Jodha, the legendary founder of Jodhpur. Historically operating as a prominent vassal state under the suzerainty of the Princely Jodhpur State (Marwar), the Jodha Rathore chieftains of Raidhana played a crucial role in securing the northern borders of the kingdom and maintaining regional stability around the strategic trading hub of Ladnun. These nobles contributed significantly to the socio-cultural landscape of the Nagaur region through the patronage of local temples, martial traditions, and community welfare. Following India's independence and the integration of princely states, the feudal administration of the Thikana ceased with the passage of the Rajasthan Land Reforms and Resumption of Jagirs Act, transitioning the descendants of Raidhana into the modern era where they continue to preserve their ancestral heritage while contributing to the democratic and economic growth of Rajasthan.
