Hadla

The Thikana of Hadla represents a distinguished branch of the Bhati dynasty, tracing its ancestry back to the historical rulers of the Derawar State (located in present-day Punjab, Pakistan). The rulers of Hadla are direct descendants of Rawal Zalim Singhji of Ghadiyala, the son of Rawal Raghunath Singhji, who ruled the erstwhile state of Derawar before the political landscape of the desert region shifted. Following their migration and settlement in the Rajputana region, the family established their seat at Ghadiyala. The estate of Hadla was formally conferred upon Rawal Saheb Gulab Singhji, the son of Rawal Bagh Singhji of Ghadiyala, in recognition of their noble lineage and alliance. Along with the estate, the ruler was granted the prestigious court honor of Sadi Tazim (single Tazim) by Maharaja Surat Singhji of Bikaner in 1871. Throughout the period of the British Raj, the Thikana of Hadla functioned as a prominent vassal state under Bikaner, contributing to the administrative and military stability of the princely state until the abolition of the jagirdari system post-Independence.
