Tokla

The rulers of the Tokla Thikana belong to the noble Yaduvanshi Bhati dynasty, tracing their lineage directly from Rawal Saheb Zalim Singhji of Ghadiyala, the son of Rawal Raghunath Singhji who ruled the erstwhile Derawar State in present-day Pakistan. Following the tragic and treacherous assassination of Rawal Raghunath Singhji by Pathan invaders who usurped the Derawar throne, the young Rajkumar Zalim Singhji migrated during his minority to seek refuge in the princely state of Bikaner. Generations later, his descendant Rawal Saheb Bhom Singhji was highly honored for his family's noble lineage and was conferred the hereditary distinction of Sadi Tazim (a prestigious court honor) in the Bikaner Darbar in 1754 AD. In return for their estates, the Thikana of Tokla faithfully fulfilled its feudal obligations by providing a military contingent of chakari asvar (cavalry riders) to the Bikaner State Forces, serving honorably until the post-independence integration of the Rajputana states into modern India.
