  • Babu RUSTAM SHAH, Babu Saheb of Deara 1823/1877, he rendered valuable service to tbe native forces during the Mutiny of 1857 to the British authorities, for which he was granted the title of Raja, a Khillat of 15,000Rs, a jagir worth 10,000Rs and a confiscated estate along with the chieftainship of Rajkumar Thakurs (Rajkunwars), as well as eight villages in Rae Bareli district, formerly belonging the the rebel Raja of Atra Chandapur (his brother, Bariar Singh, received the Taluq of Damodra, comprising 20 villages); he was invested with the powers of an Assistant Commissioner in 1860. He died sp 1877.
